Chris Cornell is a grunge icon who loves being told 'no'. An extremely talented musician and songwriter, he refuses to be categorized under one type of music, he ended up being the ‘head chef’ of the great grunge explosion in the 1990’s. Labeled as "one of the best voices in music history," he has continued to uphold his own character individualism. For over 20 years, he finally became a musicinan that has received many Grammy awards, Golden Globe nominee and globally famous musician & entertainer.
Grunge lords Soundgarden were a sound all to themselves; sorrow filled, edgy, grim and deeply contemplating. Their heavy sounds and licks, coupled with the incisive lyrics and screaming roar of Chris Cornell, hypnotized people in need of new type of music. It was way back in 1989 when Soundgarden was the only grunge band to agree to a major recording label. Their music continues to change and morph over the course of five jet-setting albums. Mix together Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and some AC/DC and you have a great sounding band like Soundgarden, although their sound was and is their own.
